Rams 3 Harlington 0
Rams 0 Ballers FC 0
Rams 2 Befont Eagles 0
Rams 1 Hillingdon Abbots 0
Rams 0 Bedfont Green 1
A great start for the Rams with a comfortable three nil victory over Harlington with goals from Corey Edwards, Tom Scott & Lewis Dudzik.
Second match and a hard fought game against a good side from Hammersmith who we later found out had won the Hayes & District U8's league this season. The best chances fell to the Rams but they just couldnt make the break through.
Third game saw the Rams up against the hosts who held out for most of the game with some good defending until a rare goal from Callum Gray lobbing the keeper with his left foot from distance. Tom Scott made it two nil with a powerful longe range effort that the Bedfont keeper just couldn't hold on to.
Fourth match and another well contested game, Tom Scott scored the only game of the match taking him to 3 goals for the tournament.
Final match and the Rams battled hard against one of the strongest teams at the tournament and were exteremely unfortunate to lose as Bedfont Green scored with literally the last kick of the game.
Overall a good tournament from the Rams conceding just one goal in 5 games and scoring 6 goals. They were unlucky not to be in the top two that went through to the semi finals and deserved more for all their hard work.

NEW PLAYERS FOR SEASON 2008-2009 : INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
The Rams and The Bulls play in the Slough Mini-Soccer League. You can find out more about Mini-Soccer at the FA website.
We are part of Beaconsfield SYCOB FC, one of the best established football clubs in the area. Beaconsfield SYCOB run a number of teams at all age levels. Season 2007-2008 has been another great year for the club : the senior squad won a historic treble and our under-11s, under-12s and under-13s all won their respective leagues.
Home games and training are held at our Youth Academy at Farnham Park on the A355, mid-way between Beaconsfield and Slough.
We have a few places available for new players for next season (2008-2009). For the next season players must be under nine years old as of 31st August 2008.
The Rams and The Bulls
The Rams are about to enter their fourth season. They are one of the best teams in the Slough Mini-Soccer League, having won 12 and drawn 4 of their 17 games this season.
Our second team, The Bulls, was created at the beginning of this season and have quickly become established.
Training
Training takes place at Farnham Park on Saturday mornings during the season between 10.00-12.00. Training sessions are a mixture of skills coaching and practise matches. The boys are encouraged to develop their fitness, technique and team working skills whilst having fun and enjoying the game.
Team ethic
The main aim of the club is to help the boys to enjoy playing football. The teams are competitive and players are expected to do their best, but our approach is based on motivating players through encouragement and through praising good performances. The boys are expected to behave well, try their best and show respect for their team mates, officials and opponents.
Benefits
Playing in a Mini-Soccer team benefits the boys in many ways. Their fitness benefits from regular exercise in the fresh air, they learn about team working and responsibility and they gain increased confidence from the sense of belonging and contributing to a team.

11TH MAY HAREFIELD UTD TOURNAMENT
Rams 3 Parkfield 1
Rams 0 Everett Rovers 1
Rams 0 Bessingby Park Rangers 0
Rams 2 Harefield Utd 0
Rams kicked the day off with a rampant performance against a shell shocked Parkfield who found themselves two down after goals from James Heady and Corey Edwards. Tom Scott got in on the act with a fantastic long range lob over the keeper. Parkfield did get one back but it was too little too late.
Second game saw the Rams face a well organised Everett side who quickly took the lead with only minutes on the clock. The Rams fought hard and pushed for the equaliser and were unlucky not to get it.
The Rams again had the lions share of the ball in this match and the better of the chances but could not make the break through. A late free kick from Tom Scott narrowly missing the target nearly snatched a dramatic winner.
Final game of the day against the hosts finnished two nil to the Rams, with a great performance from Connor Campbell in midfield. Tom Scott and Sean Chivers linked up well together and both got their rewards with a goal apiece. Tom's a well struck long range effort that swerved past the keeper and Sean's cooly slotted into the corner past the oncoming keeper.
All in all a good day for the Rams with 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat. Callum, Connor and Ben combining well at the back helped keep 2 clean sheets. A total of 5 goal scored and a commendable effort in every match, well done Rams!
Bulls 2 Panathinaikos 0
Bulls 2 NW Robins Celta 0
Bulls 0 West Drayton Boys 2
Bulls 0 Brunswick FC 1
Four very encouraging performances by the Bulls, which could easily have been four wins.
Strengthened by Lewis and Arran the Bulls started with comfortable victories over Panathinaikos and Celta : Charlie, Max, Arran and Lewis grabbing the goals.
West Drayton provided tough opposition but the Bulls can count themselves very unlucky to have lost that one. West Drayton's keeper made several good saves and they only had two shots on targets in response (both powerful long shots that gave our goalie little chance).
It was a similar story in the final game. A long range screamer of a free-kick flew into our goal and we had no luck at the other end : Lewis hitting the post twice within a minute!
All in all, there was a lot to be positive about. Apart from the long range efforts, it's hard to recall our opponents having a single shot on goal in any of the four matches (well done, defenders!) and we created plenty of chances going forward.

Friendly Match - Rams 1 Burnham Whites 1
The Rams started brightly once again with the lions share of the possession and chances. Tom Scott in the Rams goal called into action only a couple of times. Arran and Lewis combining well up front came close on several occasions to breaking the deadlock.
James and Corey stamped their authority on the midfield once again with their tough tackling and some good play. Sean brought into defence for the game once again showed his versatility with a solid performance.
The Rams made the break through just before half time with a ferocious long range effort from Corey Edwards too hot for the Burnham keeper to handle with James Heady on hand to pick up the loose ball and slot it away.
The second half Burnham crept back into the game and were pushing for the equaliser with the break through coming down their right hand side, we got sucked in to the ball again similar to how we conceded last week against Chalfont when the cross came in there were 2 un marked players waiting to knock in the leveller past the exposed Corey in goal.
The Rams kept going right to the end, and were almost denied the draw through a somewhat biased refereeing decision over ruled by the makeshift linesman. A good show of fair play from both sides leaving the friendly match ending a fitting 1 - 1 as per the earlier meeting of these 2 sides earlier in the season.
Tom Scott buried the ball home just seconds after the final whistle and assured me after the game that if we would have had 30 seconds extra time we would have won the match!

Friendly Match - Bulls 1 Harefield Utd 4
Maybe it was the early start, but the Bulls began the game sleepily and were 2-0 down by half time.
Things improved a little in the second half and a good finish by Janni brought the Bulls back into the game.
With some players missing the Bulls defence was much less organised than usual. Although we had good possession in the second half we always looked vulnerable in defence and it was no surprise when Harefield added to their lead twice more before the end.
A 1-4 defeat was a bit harsh but we need to work on improving our marking and positional play. Bright spots were Janni's return to goalscoring form and some excellent tackles from motm Bradley.
