Bulls 13 Thames Valley Youth Blues 1

The Bulls stormed to the top of the league, going goal-crazy against the division's bottom team at Farnham Park.

On a pitch that resembled Shrek's swamp, the aggressive Bulls midfield quickly took charge. The Thames Valley goal lived a charmed life at times during a first half of relentless Bulls pressure, but once Ollie's penalty had put the Bulls ahead the floodgates opened.

Set the challenge of becoming the first team in the league to record double figures, at half-time the Bulls were exactly on course. 5-0!

As the match wore on it became harder and harder to identify the Bulls goalscorers...

Despite the energy-sapping mud, the Bulls kept up the momentum throughout the second half and the goals kept coming. From back to front the Bulls played very well. Dan made a strong return to the team, the Bulls defence were as energetic as ever, Callum and Max seem to have added regular goal-scoring to their usual hard work and teamplay, Luke showed great finishing to grab FIVE (!) goals.

MOTM deservedly went to Oliver Pritchard. Ollie's tackling, running and unselfish passing created chance after chance for his teammates. Well done, Ollie. An excellent performance.

Golden Eagles 0 Bulls 5

Another fruitful visit to Kedermister Park, as the Bulls reached the halfway point of the league season unbeaten.

In the first few minutes of the game, Jureme and Ollie showed what a great attacking partnership they can be when they work together. Jureme surged powerfully down the right wing and Ollie took up a great position in the box. A pinpoint cross from Jureme and a deadly shot from Ollie and the Bulls were on their way... 1-0!

By half-time it was 3-0 as Jureme added two more goals, including a superb free kick.

Golden Eagles are by no means the worst team in the division. They battled for every ball and created several good chances. A combination of Jack's brave saves and determined defending by the whole team denied the Eagles a deserved consolation goal. Another clean sheet for the mega-mean Bulls defence.

The Bulls fourth goal was one of the best of the season so far. Under pressure deep in his own half, Callum had the presence of mind to look up. He saw Max in space on the right and played an excellent through ball. Max outsprinted the defender and played an unselfish pass through to the unmarked Luke who made no mistake. From defence to attack in a few seconds. Great passing and super teamwork.

Another of Max's crosses completed the scoring, as the Eagles keeper spilled the ball over the line as the defence panicked to clear. It was the only mistake made by the Eagle keeper, who had kept the score down with a series of good saves throughout the match.

A good performance from the Bulls. It was a hard fought game against a decent opposition.

Bulls 3 Boyne Hill Bullets 0

The Bulls kept their league challenge on course with a comfortable victory over an improving Boyne Hill Bullets.

An even first half saw chances at both end. The Bulls went in a goal up at half time after skipper Callum Button shot through a crowded goal mouth, leaving the Bullets goalie with no chance.

The Bulls camped in the Boyne Hill half after the break, but struggled to turn their dominance into goals. Ollie, Jureme and Callum all saw good chances miss the target or be saved by an impressive Bullets keeper.

On the few occasions when Boyne Hill approached the Bulls area, Jack was alert; scampering out of his goal to snuff out any danger.

Max made the game safe with two second half goals, sliding in at the back post early in the second period and swerving a shot from the edge of the box just inside the post with a few minutes to go.

Josh was awarded man of the match, breaking with speed and determination to turn defence into attack throughout the match.

The Bulls ground out another victory without really being at their best (the mark of champions!) and reduced the gap at the top of the table to five points.

MOTM : Josh

Rams 3 Boyne Hill Tornadoes 3

The Rams lined up with a bare 7 players against the 2nd place team in the league Boyne Hill Tornadoes. The Hill gained promotion to Division A and were also last seasons beaten League Cup finalists.

After a defeat earlier in the season away at Boyne Hill the Rams were determined to make ammends, however it was the visitors who took the lead, albeit against the run of play. In true Rams spirit they didn't let their heads drop and the ball fell to Ollie G way outside the box and he struck a sweet looping shot over the keeper and into the top of the net, 1-1. half time.

Second half and the Rams kicked up a gear, playing some great football, Corey linking up with Ollie in midfield and Tom working the ball around the Hill's players. It was in form striker Arran the Ice man put the Rams in the lead as he slotted the ball home for his 13th goal of the season. Unlucky for some but not Arran as he doubled his tally for the day after a fine through ball from Tom Scott who got crunched in the process! 3-1 Rams.

Boyne Hill though have a large squad with some big lads, Elliot caused us problems down the left wing with Ben (Goldilocks) once again taking every dead ball, launching it towards the Rams goal at every opportunity. The Hill got a lucky break after they swung in another corner which sneaked in at the near post. Boyne Hill got the equaliser from Elliot late on, although the home side created another couple of chances the game ended 3-3.

The champions played well and were unlucky not to get the win, Jamie and Sean worked hard in defence against a strong well organised team. Tom put in plenty of strong challenges and had a solid game but MOTM went to Jamie who broke the play up and distributed the ball well throughout.
