Bulls 1 West Drayton Explorers 1

Three games unbeaten for the Bulls who matched league leaders West Drayton throughout a hard fought match.

Having almost beaten top three side Upton Youth a few weeks ago, the Bulls came even closer to beating the Explorers. Both sides scored in a crazy last minute, with West Drayton's scrambled equaliser cancelling out a low accurate shot from Callum.

Any of the Bulls could have been motm - there were great performances all round - but Janni's much improved showing in attack was the star performance. Well done Janni, keep it up!

The Bulls have made great improvements during 2009 and are looking as good as any team in their division. Let's keep working hard in training and we're sure to get a couple more wins under our belt this season!

Rams 4 Hillingdon Youth 2

The Rams dominated the first half with a polished display, keeping possession of the ball well and creating openings in the Hillingdon defence. Tom Scott broke the deadlock finnishing off a good passing move with a well struck shot. James made it 2-0 after a quickly taken corner, made his way into the box before unleashing a well placed low shot which the keeper could not keep out at the near post. Another fine passing move created the third goal, the cross coming in from the right wing beat the keeper and Hillingdon defenders, Corey was on hand to shoot goalwards only for his shot to come back off the post, fortunately for us hitting a defender and ending up in the back of the net, 3-0.

In the Second half Hillingdon worked hard to get back into the game and made the breakthrough after some a well struck shot was parried by Lewis in goal only for one of the Hillingdon strikers to react quickest to the rebound and slotted the ball home calmly, 3-1.

Both teams continued to create opportunities, Hillingdon were awarded a free kick just outside the Rams penalty area and with the keeper unsighted an unstoppable shot was fired into the top corner, 3-2 and a great free kick.

The Rams stood strong with solid defensive performances from Callum, Ben and Jamie. Lewis did well in the SYCOB goal and had little chance with the two goals conceded. The lads kept battling away and eventually put the game beyond reach of the visitors when Tom Scott doubled his tally for the day receiving the ball on the edge of the box, evading the oncoming keeper and defender who ended up in a heap on the floor turned brilliantly to fire into the open goal.

Moment of the match was when Arran spun fantastically on the ball in the centre circle beating two midfielders showing a bit of skillage that wouldn't look out of place on Soccer AM's showboating!

MOTM went to Tom Scott for another fine performance working effortlessly and scoring two well taken goals.

Boyne Hill Bullets 1 Bulls 3

The Bulls kept up their recent improvement with a convincing victory at Boyne Hill, gaining revenge for a defeat earlier in the season.

The Bulls started superbly, pinning the home team in their own half for most of the first period. Two goals from Jack and one from Janni saw the Bulls well ahead at half time. The Bulls created many more chances in the first half, including a rocket from Max which thundered off the bar just before the half time whistle.

The Bullets fought back well in the second half. An early goal for the home team raised their spirits and, on a heavy muddy pitch, the Bulls (playing without subs) understandably began to tire. The Bulls continued to press forward whenever they could. An excellent through ball from Max put Jack through one-on-one and only a great save from the Bullets' keeper denied him a hat-trick!

Olly, Josh and Jordan once again gave nothing away at the back. They hardly gave the Bullets a shot at goal despite a lot of pressure throughout the second half. Superb effort!

Max narrowly pipped Jamie to pick up motm for a great midfield display: tackling, passing, shooting and tracking back to help the defence throughout the game.

Bedfont Eagles 1 Rams 9

The Rams travelled over to Bedfont Eagles and were in a confident mood ahead of the fixture against the bottom of the league side.

Corey put in an excellent performance and was a close call for man of the match after grabbing himself a hat trick and an assist. James was energetic throughout on a very heavy muddy pitch and was surprised to see his shot go in without anyone else getting a touch on it so much so he forgot to do his 'Tim Cahill boxing the cornerflag' celebration! Tom was in fine form, once again terrorising the home side from the whistle, closing the ball down well, getting two goals for his efforts. Sean played the second half up front and was soon in on the action scoring twice.

Solid defensive work from Connor and Ben limiting the home sides chances and starting off the attack from the back, Ben was extremely unlcuky not to get on the score sheet himself late on with a powerful rising shot which went just over the bar. Lewis made his debut in the Rams goal but was unfortunate not to keep a clean sheet after saving the initial strike with the parried shot falling straight to the Befont striker.

MOTM went to Arran Gill for a sublime performance on the left wing, creating several opportunities, setting up goals and scoring himself after shifting the ball onto his left foot to make the space for the shot before firing home.

Goalscorers were Corey 3, Tom 2, Sean 2, James 1 and Arran 1

Upton Youth 1 Bulls 1

The best performance of the season so far from the Bulls, who came within five minutes of beating high-flying Upton Youth.

With Olly and Josh again superb in defence and with Callum and Jamie adding power to the midfield, the Bulls rarely looked in danger. The Bulls had most of the possession in the first half and it was no surprise when Jamie managed to bounce his throw in off an Upton defender to put the Bulls ahead. Nice aim, Jamie!

In the second half the Bulls came close several times to adding to their lead, looking particularly dangerous at corners and at throw-ins. Despite hitting the post and forcing a series of goalmouth scrambles the Bulls couldn't quite grab a second goal. Upton Youth showed why they are second in the table by never giving up and they scored a good equaliser with only a few minutes left.

The Bulls reacted to the disappointment of losing the lead by playing even better! The last few minutes were spent almost completely in the Upton Youth penalty box with the Bulls trying hard to snatch a well deserved win.

With a full team, the Bulls showed just how well they can play. Upton Youth are one of the best teams in the division and the Bulls came very close to beating them. Let's have the same effort next week!

Motm : Jack B - the Rory Delap of the Bulls - for his superb throw ins and teamwork
