Sunday 21st November

RAMS 5 Prestwood Colts 3

The rams started brightly against Prestwood with two early goals from Sean and Rayyan, but their hard work was quickly undone with some sloppy defending and poor positioning letting the visitors get back level at 2-2.

The second half wasnt much better, the home side going 3-2 down after we once again failed to clear our lines. The Rams were not giving up though and a succession of poor goal kicks from Prestwood gifting the home side possession in dangerous positions, first Sean winning the ball and crossing well for Arran on the far post, unfortunately Arran couldn't wrap his foot round the ball, then the a mirror image of the previous chance, the goal kick fell to Arran on the edge of the box, he controlled it well, moved into the box and crossed for Sean who made no mistake and buried it past the keeper, 3-3 and the Rams were back in it.

The home side pushed for a winner and once again it was Sean getting on the end of pass, slotted it past the keeper 4-3 and his well deserved hat trick making up for the hat trick he should of had against Burnham last week. That wasn't the end of the scoring though, the Rams won a free kick on the edge of the box, Arran stepped up and lofted the ball over the keeper to have the final say in the match and putting the game beyond the plucky visitors. Well done lads, but we are going to have to raise or game against better oposition this season if we are to challenge on all fronts!

Sunday 10th October

Marlow Royals 2 RAMS 5

The Rams produced their best performance so far this season with a fine win away to Marlow Royals. Once again though the lads were guilty of a slow start and gifting possession to the opposition. After an early break away goal by the home side, the Rams were instantly back on level terms after a great move down the left hand side, Arran crossed for Jureme to bury the equaliser. We continued to dominate, Callum hit the post from a wicked corner from James. We took the lead through good work again from Arran, this time the defender slicing the ball past his own keeper! But once again our soft centre was exposed at the back with another counter attack.First half ended 2-2.

Second half the visitors pushed hard to get their noses back in front and were soon rewarded for their efforts. Sean socred a penalty that he was fortunate to get a second chance at, the first rattling the post but the ref called it back for encroachment. Although justice was done as we should of had about at least 2 other penalties! We were then awarded an in direct free kick in the 6 yard box follwoing a back pass. Marlow had the whole team on the line, Corey tapped the ball to James who smashed in into the bottom corner, miraculously finding a gap! 4-2.
The goal of the match went to the man of the match, again midfield swept through the home side, Corey crossed superbly for Arran who at full stretch with the diving header past the keeper.

Well done lads, great game, getting back to your best again!
