Bulls 2 Ascot United Allstars 3 (AET)

A terrific performance from the Bulls against strong opponents. After a long winter break, this Slough and Windsor Open Challenge Trophy cup-tie was a perfect way for the Bulls to sharpen up for the second half of the season.

Two closely-matched teams battled hard for fifty minutes with neither side easing up for a second. On a muddy pitch, it was an exhausting battle. With only one sub available the Bulls were at a slight disadvantage, but even with tired legs the Bulls competed for every ball.

In the end, the visitors snatched victory with the final kick of the game. Hard luck on the Bulls who didn't deserve to lose, but don't worry lads: you will get your share of good luck at some stage this season.

Overall, loads to be positive about. Jureme and Olly showed again that they can score against any defence; Lewis and Josh were more than a match for the Ascot strikers; everybody will be a bit fitter and a bit sharper as a result of such a hard game.

Back to the league next weekend. With an eight point gap to close at the top of the table, the Bulls will want to get straight back to winning ways.

MOTM: Jack : made some brave saves when Ascot were threatening to get on top and never let his head drop. Well done Jack.

24th Jan - S&W Open Challenge Trophy

Rams 0 BJ Jaguars Whites 3

The Rams were knocked out of the Open Challenge Trophy by a much strengthened Burnham Whites team. After a slow start for the Rams the boys quickly found themselves 3-0 down in the first half.

Credit to the lads, they didnt let their heads droppped and battled hard to get a consolation goal but unfortunately it didn't come.

We still have the opportunity to get our own back in the League Cup!

Man of the match went to Tom Scott for an all action tough tackling display in the heart of the Rams midfield.

Another goal feast for the Rams hitting one more than the last game in this 11 goal thriller.

Five goals for the in form Arran Gill thats 8 in two games now for the newly turned striker!

Tom Scott now plying his trade in midfield also cropped up with a couple of goals as well as assists.

James Heady put in another solid performance and all the lads can be proud of the way they cut through the Hillingdon side with accurate passing moves.

The Rams go top of Division A for goals scored and up into 2nd place in the league right on the tail of Burnham Whites who will be shaking in their boots seeing the amount of goals scored in the last two games!
