Friendly Match - Chalfont Saints Sharks 2 Rams 1

Another superb performance from the Rams who battled hard from the first to the final whistle despite the adverse weather conditions.

The Rams had most of the best chances and possession in the first half but could not get the goal they deserved. Solid defensive performances from Ben Hillier and Callum Gray limiting the Saints to long range efforts and a couple of good saves Connor Cambell in the Rams goal ensured the first half finnished 0-0.

Early in the second half a speculative shot from Chalfont squeezed past the unfortunate Callum in the SYCOB goal to put the Saints one nil up. The Rams pushed hard for the equalizer and won a corner which was swung in by the energetic Corey Edwards who was again on top form for Tom Scott to smash home the header, 1 -1. Soon after that the Rams had another corner this time curled in by Tom Scott straight onto the head of Corey Edwards who's powerful header came back off the cross bar.

Similar to the first half the Rams had the better of the possession and the chances but the Sharks hit us on the break, finnished of with a good pass accross the box to the unmarked striker who calmly slotted the ball past Callum Gray in goal.

Another outstanding game from the tireless James Heady and good work from Sean Chivers up front.

Great game in difficult conditions considering most of the boys thought it fun to get soaked before the kick off. The boys were unluckly having most of the possession and battling back to 1-1 after going behind to a goal dictated by the weather. However as with burnham earlier in the season the otherwise excellant defence learnt you have to defend the centre and not just the players acting the wings. First ever? headed goal for TS, great running and vision from Sean, solid work from Corrie and James in midfield, good defensive play from the trio - Callum,Connor & Ben at the back - a real tribute to the boys

A great performance for the lads especially considering the conditions and the fact most of them got soaked playing around before the game started. An unlucky defeat considering the boys fought back from an unlucky goal down to equalise with the first ever headed goal from TS. It looked like the Rams would go on to win only for the overwise solid defence to get caught out - as they did at burnham - by forgetting you not only need to defend the guys attacking down the wing but also those left in the middle. Lots of good runs from Sean linking well with TS and tireless energy from the mid field duo of Corrie and James who both came close to adding to their goal tallies on several occisions. Overall Callam, Ben and Connor are growing in strength at the back as a trio. This was a good display and a pleasure to watch the boys even in defeat- something I have struggled to say about watford in the second half of their season

Thanks Andy, always glad to have some feedback. Yes was a great game, we hardly gave them any time on the ball which was great. The team really starting to gel together well.

Looks like I need to do a bit more work on defending crosses!

Good friendly game with plenty of positives taken from it.
